The female of this shrub produces greenish-yellow blossoms in spring that help early pollinators--sometimes it's called "the forsythia of the woods." The glossy green leaves turn a lovely bright yellow in fall and are fragrant when crushed. Full sun to part shade; in full shade the shrub becomes less compact and spreads a bit. Medium moisture. 6-12'. 2/3 gallon nursery pot.

Shrub: Lindera bezoin (Spicebush)
