Unique! This hardy native perennial produces a spiky rosette of swordlike yucca-like leaves and a tall stalk ending in intriguing nubbly white spheres resembling mini-snowballs. Blooms July-September. Excellent accent plant. Not bothered by deer. The Xerces Society recommends this species as "highly attractive to pollinators" in the Great Lakes region.
