This attractive perennial sedge produces a lush tuft of arching slender leaves. Host plant to the Eyed Brown butterfly and several skipper butterflies. Nice for rain gardens; tolerates temporary flooding. Sedges (and grasses) were the preferred food of the mammoths that once lived in Michigan.
